The British Summer comic convention season starts in earnest this weekend with the third annual East London Comics & Arts Festival (ELCAF). The big guests are Chris Ware (Jimmy Corrigan, Building Stories) who designed the show’s imagery for this year and the most 1920’s man in comics, Seth (Palookaville).
We’re very exited to have been invited back to exhibit along such prestigious names as well as the wealth of contemporary cartoonists and designers on show. We’ll have two tables of talented artists and writers for you to meet and a whole spread of amazing comics for you to buy. Also Isabel Greenberg (Tall Tales and Outrageous Adventures) and Dan Berry (Carry Me) will be very near by on their own tables. Please come down and say hello, it’ll be a great day!
ELCAF will be held this Saturday 14th June at The Oval, Bethnall Green, London. Tickets are £3 for adults and free for children under 16.
If that wasn’t enough excitement for one weekend, on Friday 13th June we’re hosting a launch party for Rachael Smith’s debut graphic novel House Party! This will be at Orbital Comics, 8 Great Newport St, near Leicester Square, London from 7pm – 9:30pm and it’s free. You can even RSVP on Facebook if you like. Please come along and help yourself to the free wine before Rachael drinks it all.
